- Regular Eye Exams: Schedule annual eye exams to monitor vision changes and detect potential issues. If you are a diabetic it’s a must. In intervals of every three month do check your fundus to prevent diabetic retinopathy. It’s a common cause of blindness in diabetic people.
- Balanced Diet: Eat nutrient-rich foods:
- Leafy greens (lutein, zeaxanthin)
- Citrus fruits (Vitamin C)
- Nuts (Omega-3 fatty acids)
- Carrots (Vitamin A)
- Hydration: Drink plenty of water (8-10 glasses/day) to keep eyes hydrated. Along with it will protect the brain also from dehydration.
