Cancer is a horrible disease. The disease can attack any organ of our body. Early detection of it can help in better treatment and outcome.

Unintentional Weight Loss : Unexplained acute weight loss tells us that something is wrong in our body.

  • Losing 10 pounds or more without trying in 3 to 6 months. Or if you lose 5% of body weight without any effort in 3-6 months.
  • Unexplained weight loss, particularly in the face, arms, and legs.

Fatigue : Long term fatigue without any chronic disease or any etiology might be an indication of something happening inside the body.

  • Feeling extremely tired or weak, even after resting
  • Persistent fatigue that interferes with daily activities.
  • Low energy without any important cause.

Pain : Unexplained pain which is disabling and causing difficulties in regular lifestyle.

  • Persistent pain or discomfort in one area, such as the breast, lung, or abdomen
  • Sometimes pain is associated with long term swelling.
  • Pain that worsens over time or doesn’t respond to pain medication

Skin Changes :

  • New moles or changes in existing moles, such as size, shape, color, or texture
  • Sores that don’t heal or bleed easily
  • Yellowing or darkening of the skin

Changes in Bowel or Bladder Habits:

  • Blood in the stool or urine for long time.
  • Persistent diarrhea or constipation
  • Painful urination or frequent urination

Unusual Bleeding

  • Vaginal bleeding in women, especially after menopause
  • Blood in the stool, urine, or coughed up which persists for a long time
  • Abnormal vaginal discharge or bleeding in women

Coughing or Hoarseness

  • Persistent coughing or wheezing
  • Hoarseness or a change in the voice
  • Coughing up blood or rust-colored sputum

Changes in Appetite

  • Loss of appetite or feeling full quickly
  • Difficulty swallowing or pain while eating

Lumps or Swelling

  • New lumps or swelling in the breast, testicles, or lymph nodes
  • Enlarged lymph nodes or swelling in the neck, underarm, or groin

Indigestion or Difficulty Swallowing

  • Persistent indigestion or heartburn
  • Difficulty swallowing or pain while eating

Eye Changes

  • Blurred vision or double vision
  • Eye pain or redness for long period
  • Flashes of light or floating spots
