Feeling lazy can be a common experience with several potential causes rooted in the brain and neurology. Sometimes, laziness adds to well-being, providing necessary rest. However, if laziness occurs most of the time, it leads to a decrease in productivity and quality of work. Excessive laziness in students can result in underperforming results and hinder scholastic performance. Even extremely talented people can suffer due to persistent laziness. Causes of excessive laziness
- Lack of sleep: Not getting enough restful sleep can lead to fatigue and lethargy. Along with he/she suffers from a decrease in mood.

- Medications: Some medications, like sedatives or antidepressants, can cause drowsiness or fatigue as a side effect. Some neurological medicine causes drowsiness and laziness.
- Lack of purpose or motivation: Feeling unfulfilled or without clear goals can lead to a sense of laziness. A confused mind also leads to less motivation leading to lethargy.
